Chief Operating Officer (COO)

As the Chief Operating Officer, you will lead the organisation’s operational engine, overseeing day-to-day operations, continuous improvement, operational governance, and service delivery. This position is ideal for a seasoned leader who thrives in complex environments and understands how to translate strategy into predictable, scalable outcomes.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across technology, product, customer delivery, finance operations, and enterprise support functions.

  • Develop and execute multi-year operational strategies that strengthen reliability, scalability, and organisational performance.

  • Drive operational excellence through process optimisation, automation, performance tracking, and workflow alignment.

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure execution of strategic initiatives and business objectives.

  • Establish governance frameworks for prioritisation, resource planning, operational metrics, and organisation-wide visibility.

  • Own operational KPIs, dashboards, risk reviews, and performance reporting to executive leadership.

  • Oversee budget management, cost controls, financial efficiency efforts, and operational forecasting.

  • Support organisational transformation initiatives including technology upgrades, digital acceleration, and process redesign.

  • Strengthen internal communication channels, operational accountability, and cross-team alignment.

  • Mentor and develop operational leaders across multiple teams, building a strong leadership bench.


Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in Operations Leadership, Business Operations, Transformation, or related fields.

  • Strong background in technology, SaaS, enterprise environments, digital platforms, or multi-functional operations.

  • Proven experience managing large-scale teams and operational portfolios.

  • Deep understanding of operational frameworks, process optimisation, and organisational design.

  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L support.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees (MBA or similar) preferred.

  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated success in leading change initiatives and scaling operational systems.

  • Partner with the CEO and executive team to shape long-term organisational strategies.

  • Support go-to-market planning, technology modernization, and enterprise transformation initiatives.

  • Influence investment decisions, operational roadmaps, and resource priorities.

  • Provide strategic insights into operational risks, business trends, and capability development.

  • Guide organisational readiness for new growth, markets, or technological expansion.


Working Conditions

  • Remote-first role within the United States with periodic travel for leadership summits, operations reviews, and cross-functional workshops.

  • High-visibility position requiring alignment with distributed teams and global partners.

  • Fast-paced environment with strong accountability for operational excellence and delivery outcomes.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $386,000 – $488,000

  • Executive performance bonus
