The Director of Procurement will lead sourcing strategy, supplier evaluation, contract management, and category planning for the organisation. This leadership role requires strong analytical ability, operational discipline, and the capability to work effectively with stakeholders across Technology, Operations, Finance, and Executive teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee procurement activities across multiple categories, ensuring alignment with organisational needs and goals.
Develop sourcing strategies that support cost effectiveness, operational reliability, and supplier performance.
Lead supplier evaluation, negotiations, contract development, and ongoing supplier relationship management.
Create procurement policies, processes, and governance frameworks to ensure consistency and compliance.
Coordinate with Finance on forecasting, budgeting, and spend analysis.
Identify opportunities to consolidate suppliers, improve terms, and streamline purchasing methods.
Support category planning, market research, and contract lifecycle management.
Maintain procurement dashboards, reporting structures, and performance metrics.
Collaborate closely with Technology, Operations, Legal, and HR to align procurement decisions with organisational priorities.
Provide guidance to procurement teams and support development of capabilities within the department.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
10+ years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, or related fields.
Experience managing procurement operations in medium-to-large organisations.
Strong understanding of supplier negotiation, contract structures, and procurement governance.
Familiarity with procurement tools, spend analytics, and category management practices.
Ability to coordinate with internal stakeholders across technical and business environments.
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced training or professional certifications (CIPS, CPSM, etc.) are beneficial.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Working Conditions
Fully remote role within the United States.
Occasional travel for supplier meetings, workshops, or team sessions when required.

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $169,000 – $225,000
