As the Director of Technology Operations, you will lead multi-disciplinary teams responsible for cloud operations, infrastructure reliability, monitoring, incident response, and operational excellence. This role requires strong leadership, technical depth, and the ability to influence enterprise-wide decisions while ensuring a stable, scalable, and secure operating environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations across cloud environments, infrastructure systems, platform engineering, and service reliability.

  • Build and maintain operational frameworks including uptime standards, monitoring strategies, and incident management processes.

  • Partner with Engineering, Security, and Architecture teams to align technology roadmaps and operational requirements.

  • Drive automation initiatives that reduce manual workloads and improve predictability across operations.

  • Oversee operational reporting models, dashboards, KPIs, and performance transparency for executive stakeholders.

  • Manage vendor relationships, technology contracts, and third-party service performance.

  • Provide strategic guidance during incidents, outages, and high-impact operational events.

  • Support infrastructure scalability, cost optimisation, and long-term capacity planning.

  • Lead operational readiness for new product releases, platform launches, and system enhancements.

  • Mentor and develop teams across operations, engineering support, and infrastructure functions.


Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Technology Operations, Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Operations, or related technical leadership roles.

  • Experience managing complex environments involving cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), distributed systems, and enterprise applications.

  • Strong understanding of monitoring systems, automation frameworks, incident management, and operational governance.

  • Success leading multi-team technical environments in medium or large enterprise organisations.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced technical certifications or degrees preferred.

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.

  • Advise senior leadership on operational risk management, technology performance, and infrastructure evolution.

  • Support digital transformation initiatives involving automation, modern tooling, and operational maturity.

  • Partner with Finance on cost optimisation, forecasting, and technology investment planning.

  • Participate in long-term strategic planning across technology, engineering, and platform development.

  • Provide visibility into operational health, improvement opportunities, and future capability needs.


Working Conditions

  • Fully remote role within the United States with occasional travel for leadership summits, technical workshops, or operational reviews.

  • Work across distributed engineering, operations, and product teams.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $270,000 – $340,000

  • Annual executive performance bonus
