The Senior Retail Manager plays a critical leadership role overseeing store performance, workforce optimization, merchandising excellence, and customer service standards across a broad retail portfolio. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead operational strategy across retail stores, ensuring consistent execution of brand standards, merchandising, customer experience, and performance metrics.
Oversee regional or national store networks, ensuring operational readiness, staffing optimization, and sales excellence.
Drive store-level financial performance including revenue growth, cost management, labor productivity, and inventory control.
Lead initiatives that modernize retail operations including digital integration, omnichannel workflows, and customer experience enhancements.
Collaborate with Supply Chain, Merchandising, Marketing, HR, and Finance to align retail operations with organizational goals.
Implement training, development, and leadership programs that elevate store manager performance and customer service capability.
Monitor competitor landscape and retail trends to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks.
Manage operational audits, compliance reviews, safety standards, and quality assurance programs.
Support new store openings, remodels, pilot programs, and store-of-the-future initiatives.
Prepare and present performance dashboards and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
10+ years of progressive retail leadership experience, including multi-site or regional management.
Proven success driving operational improvements, customer experience programs, and financial performance.
Experience working in fast-paced retail environments (omnichannel, consumer goods, specialty retail, or big-box retail preferred).
Strong understanding of merchandising, labor planning, store operations, and customer engagement strategies.
Demonstrated ability to lead large teams, mentor store leaders, and build high-performance cultures.
Proficiency with retail analytics, forecasting tools, performance dashboards, and workforce management systems.
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced education in Retail, Business, or Operations is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $275,000 – $323,000
