About the Role

We are seeking a Vice President of Learning and Development to architect and lead a world-class learning ecosystem for a complex, technology-driven organization operating at scale.
This role is designed for an executive who understands how to connect business strategy, talent capability, and workforce performance. The VP of Learning and Development will own the enterprise learning strategy across leadership development, capability building, digital skills, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness. You will ensure learning is tightly aligned with strategic priorities such as digital transformation, AI adoption, operational excellence, and global growth.
As a member of the senior leadership team, this executive will redefine how learning drives measurable outcomes, moving beyond content delivery to performance enablement, leadership readiness, and future-skills development. Partnering closely with the CEO, CHRO, business leaders, and functional executives, you will embed learning into how the enterprise evolves, scales, and competes.
This is not a training role. It is a mandate to build learning as a strategic enterprise capability, one that fuels transformation, strengthens leadership pipelines, and delivers long-term value.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Define and lead the enterprise learning and development strategy aligned with corporate objectives and transformation priorities.

Oversee global leadership development, executive education, and succession readiness programs.

Build scalable capability-development frameworks across digital, technical, and functional skill domains.

Partner with business leaders to identify critical skill gaps and translate them into targeted learning initiatives.

Lead modernization of learning platforms, including digital learning, AI-enabled personalization, and analytics.

Establish governance, standards, and metrics to measure learning effectiveness and business impact.

Integrate learning with performance management, talent reviews, and workforce planning.

Lead change-enablement programs supporting enterprise transformation initiatives.

Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing global learning organization.

Present learning strategy, outcomes, and investment impact to executive leadership and the Board.
Job Qualifications and Requirements

15+ years of experience in learning and development, talent management, organizational development, or related leadership roles.

Proven success leading enterprise-wide L&D functions within large, global organizations.

Strong understanding of leadership development, adult learning, and capability-based workforce models.

Experience aligning learning strategy with digital transformation and future-skills initiatives.

Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and business leaders.

Strong data and analytics orientation with experience measuring learning ROI and impact.

Advanced degree in a related field is preferred.
